Nicola Facchini is an Italian artist born in 1990, who is active on the national and international scene through a series of exhibitions held in Beijing, Rome, Vienna, Venice and Tirana among others.

His artistic production ranges between painting, drawing and sculpture: passing from post-impressionist, expressionist, Baconian and conceptualist influences, the inquietant visions expressed by his art often give way to a shrewd and irreverent conception of life. It is precisely through a tragic yet humorous component - in the manner of Pirandello - that the artistic spirit of each of his works manifests itself.

Graduating in painting in 2015 from the Academy of Fine Arts in Venice, Nicola Facchini began his journey in contemporary art through a vibrant pictorial production with expressive brushstrokes, in which bright hues are juxtaposed with darker shades.

Disturbing visions and solitary characters alternate with still lifes: thus the artist lets a melancholic existentialism shine through without renouncing a veil of irony in the wit of the titles. This irreverence is even more evident in his sculptural production: biting, mocking and colorful, it highlights a sarcastic attitude and a very personal style.

The artist is a co-founder of the art collective Fondazione Malutta, through which he has exhibited in the Italian and international art scene since 2015. On an individual level, he has also held several solo exhibitions in Venice and Trieste, as well as in Baselga di Pinè (Trento) and Rijeka. Founder of two painting studios in Trieste and Venice, he currently collaborates with Dolomiti Contemporanee and the Academy of Fine Arts in Venice.
