From May, 15th the walls of the village began to be animated by artworks by street artists like La Fille Bertha, Andrea Casciu, Kiki Skipi e Hitnes, whose building-sized canvases become the engines of a urban and cultural renewal; among them, Tellas’ natural elements and shades highlight the bond with the territory, merging its colors on the wall which becomes one with the surrounding landscape.

[mag-17] Ciredz and Tellas keep surprising us. Having been selected by Land on Art Festival (Torreglia – PD), the two Sardinian artists will show their new environmental installations, on Saturday May 13. The Colli Euganei’s bucolic atmosphere will hold their works.
Land on Art is a brand-new festival, organized by the Atelier Calicanto association (Teolo) and supported by fondazione Cassa di Risparmio di Padova e Rovigo. The aim is that of promoting land art and environmental music, making the most of the young artists’ talent and creativity. Colli Euganei park will be turn into a dynamic stage, capable of creating a new emotional and sensorial relationship between the public and the surrounding nature. Ciredz’s digital installation, of an very experimental nature, will investigate mankind’s possibility, in the technological era, of getting back its lost ancestral feeling for nature. Tellas, instead, will explore the presence of phantoms: the natural landscape covers up, beyond its apparent surface, an enigmatic and mysterious entity. Humans can neither see nor understand such primordial being, but rather perceive and intuitively grasp it.

[apr-17] On the occasion of Endless (22/04 - 24/06) MAGMA gallery collaborated with Spazio Florida in Milan, for an exclusive serigraphic project of Aris, Martina Merlini and Nelio, which comes in a limited edition of 4, and on different materials – copper, wood, glass.
The brightness of copper, chosen by Aris, perfectly suits the new artistic path undertaken by the Tuscan artist, where reflective surfaces, like acetate, multiply the effects of light play and, therefore, even the number of perspectives from which you can look at artworks. In this way, a static perception is impossible, and neither the opaque, central shapes can avoid one single look.
Martina Merlini's geometrical patterns are brought to life by wood and made warmer by color, an element which was completely absent in her previous works: all the artworks realized for Endless, including the installation piece, carry this new, original feature.
Nelio, instead, decided to shock us all by opting for glass: its transparency, along with the evanescence of the printed geometries, is in deep contrast with the high-density colors and solid shapes of his paintings.

[apr-17] Until July 15, the works of Jan Kaláb and Nelio will be on show in Krakow, on the occasion of Abstrakt Forum, Pawilon Letni, FORUM Przestrzenie, to explore the different definitions and the limits of urban and abstract art. With the concept of "Graffuturism" in mind, their artworks, along with the most recent ones by Moneyless, Remi Rough, Nawer and James Reka (just to name a few), have been gathered together in the Summer Pavillion of the FORUM. The word was invented by the creator of the homonymous blog, and it tries to identify that branch of street art which blends abstract and graffiti art. A very puzzling tag indeed, since it undermines the very definitions of these two artistic trends. In fact, while on one hand the artists hybridize the shapes which are characteristic of abstract and graffiti art (if they can be called "characteristic" at all), on the other hand they keep strictly separated the typical contexts and mediums of the former from those of the latter.
The exhibition curated by Łukasz Habiera Nawer e Maciej Malinowski delves deep into this vague zone where the fixed and commonly accepted limits start to blur, arising the question of whether the medium defines the artwork, and the extent to which art forms can migrate through different contexts without losing their true spirit.

[apr-17] Every wall is a challenge, and Nelio loves to be challenged. The French artist is in first line at the last edition of The Crystal Ship Festival, in the beautiful Belgian city of Oostende.
Nelio has been offered with a large-scale wall, having the possibility of amplifying his visual field. The artist offer us new rhythms, juggling the opacity of paused ample coats and veiled virtuous hints. The artwork seems to generate from a new meditation, from a variation on the artist’s usual geometrical alphabet. Most probably, Nelio is looking for unexplored paths, trying to modify his syntax in the direction of a greater pictorialism. Thus, his abstractions acquire brightness and smoothness.

[apr-17] Tellas and Ciredz at Fuorisalone 2017: within the event Manifattura 4.0 at BASE Milano, the two Sardinian artists (along with Alberonero) moved their art from the streets to the doors of KINU, giving new elements and nuances to this project, whose purpose is to bring together design and street art.
Conceived by Paolo Bandiello and illustrated by Pastel, KINU first saw the light of day during last year's edition of Fuorisalone. As a recognition of its originality, that first piece in now on show in the Lambrate district – therefore someone was needed to carry on its poetic ideas. Here Tellas and Ciredz come into play: their landscapes and natural elements follow the steps of the floral patterns designed by their predecessor, while everything is balanced by Alberonero's serial and colorful geometry. The final result is an excellent synthesis of conflicting trends, finding its true spirit in the adaptation of traditional art forms to new usages.
